My Book. “Playspondents; Making Games for Research”

My upcoming book “Playspondents: Making Games for Research” discusses the uses of game mechanics as well familiar game components in research. Each chapter focuses on a different area, such as the uses of narrative, music and sound effects, avatars, feedback systems, rewards etc. all for digital and face-to face research. The book also looks at the differences between Games and Gamification for research, and goes through case-studies with results to understand design processes, playspondent feedback and the results for clients.
